Legislative Audit Bureau Report on the Fall 2020 Election

The Legislative Audit Bureau supports the Legislature in its oversight of Wisconsin government and its promotion of efficient and effective state operations by providing nonpartisan, independent, accurate, and timely audits and evaluations of public finances and the management of public programs. After the conclusion of the Wisconsin November 2020 Election, the Legislative Audit Bureau reviewed the conduct by the Wisconsin Elections Commision and other governmental parties surrounding the election.

Within this report the Legislative Audit Bureau explains some of the Wisconsin Statutes that have been broken while also providing 30 recommendations to increase election integrity and security.
